Meg  Kelso
BIO

My name is Meg Kelso (b. Rabaul,  Papua  New Guinea 1992)  and I am a visual artist currently completing my BFA at RMIT, based and practicing in Naarm.
My practise is interdisciplinary, but generally sits between expanded painting and ad-hoc printmaking, often using one to extend or communicate with the other.
Informed by process art and materiality, my making seeks harmony between the physicality of the medium and intuitive formation. Negotiating these material forms, my creative research draws largely on personal memory; how it is found, fragmented and reconstructed - and how this shapes my interior landscape.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Eastern Kulin nation who are the traditional custodians of the land on which I create. I pay my respects to the Wurundjeri Elders, past, present and emerging, and acknowledge that this land was never ceded.
